The Club

Founded on January 6th, 2016, North Side Archery Club is a recognized not-for-profit USA Archery club whose goal is to advance the growth and the enjoyment of archery in the Chicago area. We are dedicated to the competitive nature of archery by fostering national and international amateur competition, while at the same time promoting the sport to new archers, both young and old.


Your current NSAC Board:


President : Michael Bannester

Michael has been an archer since 2012. A level 2 USA Archery instructor he has experience teaching archery to youth and adults. He regularly competes in national NFAA, and USA Archery indoor and outdoor tournaments, and is also a regular competitor at state and local tournaments. In 2015 along with some fellow NSAC archers he competed at the 2016 US Olympic Trials in Texas and came in 78th out of 144 archers. Michael can be contacted at 


Vice President / PR Director: Bryan Weiss

Bryan has been an archer since 2012, concentrating on compound shooting, though recently adding olympic recurve to his repertoire. He's won a number of local club championships and has participated in the NFAA Indoor Nationals twice, coming in 3rd in his flight. He's earned his bronze olympian pin for compound in the USA Archery AAP program.  


Treasurer : Cory Bannester

Cory has been an active Olympic recurve shooter in Chicago since 2012. She is a certified level 2 USA Archery coach with experience instructing both kids and adults. Her accomplishments include: 1st place 2015, 2014, and 2013 ITAA Outdoor State Championships , 1st place 2015 ITAA Indoor State Championship18M, 25M & Aggregate, 1st Place 2013 Indoor National Championships- Female Senior Barebow. Her favorite archery experience thus far was competing in the 2015 Olympics Trials in Texas. Cory can be contacted at


Secretary / Head Coach: Brent Harmon

Brent is an Olympic Recurve and Barebow archer.  Besides holding other professional certifications, he is a USA Archery Level 4-NTS coach, and he served on the USA Archery Recurve Junior Dream Team staff.  He has had training in kyudo and horseback archery, as well, but not yabusame to his regret. Brent serves on the board of the Illinois Target Archery Association and is a member of the Pathway to Adventure Council Shooting Sports Committee.  He has extensive experience as a Tournament Director and is a USA Archery National Judge. Jackie Estevez

Jackie got involved in archery about 2 years ago.  She learned to teach archery because of her daughter, who inspired her to promote this very mind-relaxing sport.  Jackie especially enjoys working with adults and adaptive archers, and she would like to become an International Judge in the near future.
