Youth Archery

Three children are standing in front of archery targets, smiling. The children are dressed in gray t-shirts, some with a logo, and are holding archery bows and arrows. The targets behind them are mounted on stands and have several arrows hitting the center area, indicating successful shots. The scene appears to be outdoors at a sunny day with a clear blue sky and greenery around.
  • The Fighting Foxes is our USA Archery Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) team. Our program represents an opportunity for youth archers (8-20) to take their archery to the next level. Through weekly practices, monthly pin shoots and other competitions from the local to the national level, our archers learn how to set goals and what it takes to achieve them.

  • We welcome Barebow, Compound and Olympic Recurve archers onto our team. Archers must be able to shoot minimum 18 meters (indoor distance) or 20 meters (outdoor distance) proficiently. Minimum age is 9 years old. We can develop archers to a high level of proficiency via our Kids, Beginner, and Intermediate level classes. Please contact us via email to discuss your child’s specific needs and sign up for JOAD, or ask you instructor after class.

Participants must have archery experience and be members of USA Archery and NSAC JOAD club to participate.

  • Thursday evenings and irregular Sunday afternoons indoors at our Headquarters and outdoors at the Lincoln Park Archery Range. See our Locations & Hours.

  • $430/year, includes:

    • NSAC Club Membership,

    • Weekly coached practices & access to special JOAD-only events,
